We’d like to see Data Mechanix obtain the verifiable certifications we looked for in data recovery services, including the ISO 9001 certification and the SSAE 16 audit. These certifications are conducted by independent organizations and prove that the security and quality control protocols a hard drive recovery service has in place are effective.

The best hard drive recovery services provide comprehensive information and support regarding their services, and for the most part, Data Mechanix does that very well. Their website is packed with information about their services and contains a FAQs page and detailed descriptions of their services and capabilities. We are less impressed, however, with its lack of contact options. It’s frustrating that the company doesn’t provide an email address on its website; on the Contact Us page, you’ll only find the company’s telephone number and mailing address.
